Oil Drain Kit GM 12MM OEM RK024179

$52.94 $58.99

1996 and Up GM Oil Pans with 12MM metric thread oil drain fitting

Hose is 4 feet long

FCC Metric Oil Drain Kit

FOR GM ENGINES with 12 MM THREAD – used on 1996 and newer GM Engine oil pans with metric thread oil drain fitting

Drain your oil with ease with this awesome little drain kit!

Simply connects to your oil pan drain plug and drains oil out the hole in the bottom of your boat!

The oil drain kits are meant to stay in the oil pan plug hole after installing. Connecting the 12mm thread to where the oil pan plug is.

If you don’t drain the oil first, it will be messy.

Once the kit is installed, fill the oil to the proper level and use the kit to drain the oil from then on. The kit stays attached to the pan.

After installation, the cap on the end of the hose can be removed and with the engine oil warm, oil can be drawn from the hose with a suction pump. Or, if the hose can be positioned lower then the oil pan gravity, it can be drained into a container.

If the hull drain is close the hose, it can be routed out the hole and into a container if the boat is on a trailer. Extending the hose could also be done to reach the hull drain.

It can be permanently mounted and hung by the circular ring on the hose end cap. The thread at the cap is ¼” male npt (national pipe thread)

The initial installation of the drain hose kit will require a suction pump to remove the oil. There will be some residual oil that will need to be accounted for when the oil pan drain plug is removed.

The complete banjo fitting and hose remains connected to the oil pan with the hose end cap maintained in place except when draining the oil.
